AOF Rework x Nike Collaboration

For AOF, rework has always been part of the picture. We’ve done bucket hats made from damaged shirts. We’ve sewn scarves that needed reviving into sweatshirts. We’ve even put scarves into gilets- and got two to Barcelona into the hands of Lucy Bronze and Keira Walsh.

That’s the thing about AOF- we’d hate for an item to be brushed off, just because it’s a little damaged. We can’t think of anything quite as tear jerking as a matchday scarf spending its entire life solely as a scarf. It just isn’t us.

So we collaborated with Nike.  A brand known for breaking barriers, and propelling forwards the beautiful game, it’s a natural partnership with astronomical results. Such as a full collection of fits, reworked from our World Cup 2022 scarves. Sustainability is always something we want to improve. At AOF, we print shirts to order, which in turn reduces waste, with nay returns being resold in our Changing Room Sales. We supply locally, working with independent businesses in Nottingham to supply prints and embroidered designs. So reworking damaged items and excess stock only adds to the ethos of making sure that every football fit ends up in the hands of a die hard fan.

A 30 piece collection made up of sweater vests, one shoulder vest tops, asymmetric mini dresses, side split maxi dresses, midi skirts and straight leg trousers, all made from either red and white, navy and white, or navy and blue scarves.

We say it every time, but it’s one of our favourite collections to date. Handmade in the AOF offices by our very own seamstresses, Carwyn and Esther. Forged in a month. Sold out in less than a week. It’s no secret that reworked football fits are exciting, and when they look like this, we understand the hype. A special collection deserves that added extra element. These pieces were only sold in person, in Niketown London, on Oxford Circus. Limited edition pieces sold exclusively for fans to wear. It doesn’t get much more special than that.

In fact, we loved it so much, we created an outfit for each of our very own Lioness players, to rep while over in Australia. It’s not often you can say you’ve worn the same garms as your idol, especially in such a limited drop of pieces.

At AOF, we value creativity. Leading the crowd. Supporting access to football, and pushing forward engagement into football as a lifestyle. After all, football is nothing without the fans.
